Walterboro is located between many major Historical cities; Charleston, Beaufort, Hilton Head, SC and Savannah, GA; to name a few. Major airports are located in Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA.

There is even a large county airport two miles from the Hotel for private planes.  Our local hospital is within 1.5 miles from us, and is also equipped with an air-ambulance service on site.  There is something for everyone to see and do in Walterboro and the surrounding areas.

No matter what your agenda is, from bird watching, photography, water-sports, sightseeing, shopping, beach-combing, or other adventures- it’s here waiting for you.

We’re not just another run of the mill housing facility, we’re family, waiting to welcome-you home.  So, if you’re seeking vacation housing, office space, short term stays, over-night lodging, or a recreation retreat- this is the place for you.

Perhaps, you simply want to experience that “laid-back” change of pace atmosphere that folks have found so inviting in the South.  We host it all at the “Hammock”, where our goal is for your vacation or travel experience to be all that it should be.  So don’t forget, your room is always ready and we’ll have the quilt turned down.

Formally known as the Betsy Ross Guest House, built in 1932, it served the community and travelers as a favorite “stay-over” up until the end of the 1950’s.  The opening of the new Interstate 95 highway soon caused the demise of these quaint little guest and tourist homes in this area.  Today, after being newly restored, it once again depicts that great historic era.

You will escape into a timeless getaway with old fashion Southern Hospitality. You can enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee on the front porch with a continental breakfast, served between 7:00 and 9:00 A.M. each morning; earlier by special request.  Or, sit and rock in the sunny afternoon under the shade of our grand old Oak trees, while sipping a tall glass of ice tea, or cold lemonade- a great southern tradition.
